Any business in the boundaries of the BID map is automatically in the BID. These members are self-taxed higher than other businesses in the area to contribute to the BID budget. The BID funds are managed by a group of board members appointed by the Mayor of Spooner.

Your contribution to the BID district will help fund the website, vintage-era street lamps, decorative banners, holiday decorations, flowers baskets, sidewalk planters, as well as advertising and other promotion of downtown Spooner. Being a BID member means that you help improve both you and your neighbor’s streets.

The BID board meets every third Wednesday of the month at a predetermined location. At these meetings, the board discusses budget, projects, and improvements to be made within the BID district. All BID businesses are welcome and encouraged to attend.
