Big Dick’s Buckhorn Inn
Big Dick’s Buckhorn Inn stands as the oldest bar in the city, having operated continuously as the Buckhorn under four different owners since the end of prohibition. Widely recognized as the establishment where John F. Kennedy once made a pit stop for a speech, a beer, and a quick visit to the rest room back in 1960, its legacy has endured. The bar boasts a classic Northwoods ambiance adorned with over 100 fish and game mounts, among which the famous two-headed calf holds a special place. Renowned for serving the coldest beer in town, the bar is also celebrated for its range of unique Big Dick's novelty items and the distinctive Big Dickski Shot Board. With three pool tables and a spacious game/party room open to the public and reservable for special occasions.
